This work was done a couple of years ago, this was while I was working at a soul-crushing job. The zombies in my work represent people that go through life with no goals or ambition to do anything. The zombie has abandoned all dreams and fills the void with throwing themselves into there job. The zombie has no hope and in turn tries to discourage everyone around it from attaining their goals. Brain-eating zombies.

This painting has elements of everything. Indecision, running away, the unknown future, struggling for peace of mind, expectations and depression. I love this painting, I have it on the wall in my room. Grab your own conclusions about this one, I have so much stuff going on in it. I have'nt figured out all of the meanings of this one, I just ran with it and that's probably why it is so intriguing to me.

angel and prophet

The angel floats above the prophet in this work. I use the angel as a metaphor for complete protection. I am very interested in the idea of guardian angels and they have shown up very frequently in my work. I am not religious by any means, but I feel that I am spiritual. I use symbolism from religion in my paintings, I am very attracted to the power and controversy of these symbols.

This painting is the struggle for hope in your own world. The reaching out from inside yourself to yourself, you have the answers within you to guide your life. Everybody has their own road. The skies are dark and rainy and there will always be obstacles in your way, but the light will shine. This painting has a zombie society in the foreground. There are opinions and doubts everywhere surrounding the "two" main characters. In fact, these characters are the same person. The character is supporting himself, looking within for what he needs.
